More than 80 of Tewksbury's best and brightest students gathered at the McGrath Auditorium at Tewksbury High School over two days last week for the annual district-wide Tewksbury Spelling Bee.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. John O'Connor served as MC for the event, which is sponsord each year by the Tewksbury Education Foundation. Tewksbury Public Library Youth Librarian Noelle Boc hosted the competition.
Judges included Town Manager Richard Montuori, Chief of Police Timothy Sheehan, Deputy Fire Chief Al Vasas and School Committee Chairperson Krissy Polimeno.
The competition was fierce, with the 6th Grade division going a full 26 rounds before finally being decided, appropriately, with the words "Achievement" and "Accomplishment."
