CHIEFS 13            HURRICANES 1

After a long layoff from action, the 13U Tewksbury Chiefs returned to their winning ways with a twin bill sweep of the Salem Hurricanes at Merrimack College’s Warrior Baseball Diamond. Michael Duggan turned in a break-out performance, going 3-for-5 with two walks and an RBI. Duggan also swiped two bags in the same inning and had an impressive outfield assist to cut a runner down at the plate, saving his team a run. Catcher Kyle Darrigo reached base in all but one of his eight plate appearances on the day. His performance included two doubles and two runs batted in. Pitcher Will O’Keefe pitched eight scoreless frames and contributed on offense as well with a 3-RBI inside-the-park homerun to break open game one.

The Chiefs return to action for a Father’s Day bout in Stratham, NH against the Seacoast Pirates.
