Jul 15, 2016 12:10PM ● By Bill Gilman
Bad news for local diners.
The Tucceri family, owners of the very popular Pushcart restaurant have announced the eatery is closed for good.
The announcement was made on the restaurant's Facebook page on Friday.
The restaurant has been closed since it sustained significant inside damage in a 2015 fire.
The announcement read, as follows:

The owners of The Pushcart Cafe, with much regret, wish to inform the public that The Pushcart will not be reopening.  We would like to thank the residents of Tewksbury and those of surrounding communities for making The Pushcart so successful for more than 30 years. It was our pleasure to serve you.  We would like to thank all our loyal employees that contributed to it's great success.
If there are any interested parties willing to pursue the reopening  of The Pushcart, please let us know.  We would be willing to work with you, as we feel it is a great loss to the community not to have such a healthy alternative to fast food here in town.
We would like to honor the outstanding Pushcart gift cards that were previously issued.  If you wish to redeem your gift card, you can bring it to The Pushcart at 1777 Main St on Saturday July 23rd from 11:00 am -1:00 pm or Monday July 25th from 4:00-6:00 pm.
