Tewksbury Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible for a violent piece of graffiti.
The TPD posted a photo on social media Sunday afternoon, showing images spray-painted in pink on apparatus at the Tewksbury Skateboard Park, along with the words "Kill Cops."
The graffiti comes on the heels of the arrests of two men in Salem this past week, charged with conspiring to kill police officers.
There have been several incidents across the country in 2016, in which police officers have been targeted and killed. These have included recent murders in Dallas and Kansas City.
It is not known, at this time, if the skateboard park graffiti was just idle chatter or if it was indicative of an actual plan to target Tewksbury Police officers.
The case remains under investigation.
