State Rep. Jim Lyons Leads Effort To Repeal Transgender Bathroom Access Law

Aug 08, 2016 06:01AM ● By Bill Gilman

State Rep. Jim Lyons, R-Andover.

The following email was sent out by State Rep. Jim Lyons to his supporters on Sunday:

Dear Friends,
Recently the legislature passed the Bathroom and Locker room law, over the opposition of committed conservatives, and those who care about the safety and privacy of women and children. This terrible piece of legislation lets biological males use locker rooms, changing rooms, and public showers (at places like gyms and the YMCA) with young girls.
A ballot campaign has been formed by the Renew MA Coalition, the Mass Family Institute, and other organizations to put the law on the ballot in 2018. I am one of the first 10 signers of the petition, which is called Keep MA Safe, led by Chanel Prunier.
We need your immediate assistance to make our signature drive is a success. The silent majority of citizens in MA are counting on US to put this bad law on the ballot so it can be defeated!

Please reply to me at this email address, with your name, phone number, and address, if you are able to help me gather signatures.
If you cannot volunteer to gather signatures, please Make a donation today! Our ballot question will need to print signature papers, pushcards, and lawn signs immediately. Pushcards and lawn signs will educate voters immediately about the dangers of this law, but we need your help to purchase them, so please make a donation today!
The effort is being coordinated by regional directors at Renew MA. If you want to reach your regional director directly, please contact them at:

            Steve Fruzzetti: 508-386-3647 -
            Andrew Surprise: 413-313-6889 -
            Thank you,
            Rep. Jim Lyons
