UPDATE (5:50 p.m.): Tewksbury Police Continue Search For Suspect Who Fled Into Woods

 UPDATE (5:50 p.m.): Tewksbury Police are continuing to search for a 40-year-old man who fled the scene of a motor vehicle stop Thursday morning.
According to Tewksbury Police, the suspect is identified as Fred Rolfe. Around 10:45 a.m., Rolfe was driving on Route 38 and was pulled over by a TPD officer near Oscar's Pinatas, 346 Main St., for having a cracked windshield.
A check of Rolfe's record indicated there was an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Police have not, however, released what crime Rolfe is accused of.
According to the officer, Before he could be taken into custody, Rolfe fled the vehicle and ran off into the woods in the area of Wal-Mart. 
Six additional officers responded to the scene to assist. State Police and the Air-Wing State Police helicopter were called in. K-9 units from Tewksbury, Billerica and Andover also were called in to help, but as of 5:30 p.m., Rolfe had not been located.
Rolfe is described as being a 40-year-old white male wearing a camouflage hat and shorts and a long-sleeve black shirt.

Tewksbury Police issued a Code Red around 11:30 a.m. Thursday, letting residents know they are searching for a suspect in the Wamesit area.
According to the alert, the suspect has an outstanding warrant and fled into the woods near Wal-Mart. Police are searching in the areas of Main Street and Astle Street.
The suspect is described as being a 40-year-old white male wearing a camouflage hat and shorts and a long-sleeve black shirt.
