Greater Lowell Health Alliance Grant Awards Announcement

Tewksbury, MA – September 8, 2016 – September is National Recovery Month and October is
National Substance Abuse Prevention Month across the country. Substance abuse continues to grow, spreading misery and driving up the crime rate.

On Monday, September 19, at 10:00am, a press conference will take place at Tewksbury Town Hall, 1009 Main Street, to inform the media of the Greater Lowell Health Alliance’s Substance Use and Prevention Task Force efforts, to announce GLHA grant awards, and to highlight upcoming community events. The event is sponsored by the Greater Lowell Health Alliance in partnership with Middlesex Community College. Light refreshments will be served.

Special attention will be given to substance abuse prevention meetings planned around the region in September and October.

Substance abuse impacts the Greater Lowell region hard. But a strong coalition has grown to address the problem and lead the fight against this scourge. Please join us for an informative
