Tewksbury High senior cheerleaders Kendyl Spinelli, Ashley Antonelli, Cathy Bosek and Dani Souza.

As a result of the generosity of the Tewksbury High cheerleaders, their Booster Club and a lucky Tewksbury firefighter, a donation of $1,200 was made to the family of the late Ethan Costello this week.
Costello, 15, died Oct. 31, after being seriously injured during an altercation at a party on Oct. 28.
The TMHS cheerleaders, with the consent of their Booster Club, decided to donate the proceeds from their 50/50 raffle at the Nov. 5
playoff game between Tewksbury and Beverly to Costello's family to help defray expenses during this difficult time.

"Dani Souza, Varsity Cheer Co-Captain, asked her mom Kim if we could donate our 50/50 profits from (the) game to the Costello family. The Cheer Booster Club immediately agreed and Dani and seniors Cathy Bozek and Ashley Antonelli made some beautiful posters to hang at the game, explaining the donation," said Kelly Wentworth, of the Booster Club.

The cheerleaders sold $1,200 worth of raffle tickets, meaning $600 raised and $600 to the family. The raffle winner was Tewksbury Firefighter Dan Kasperzak, who donated the winnings back! That allowed the cheerleaders to hand a $1,200 check to the Costello family this week.
