Help The Tewksbury High DECA Team Get To California

Apr 02, 2017 11:46AM ● By Bill Gilman
Under the tutelage of advisor Jim Sullivan, the Tewksbury High DECA program has steadily grown in participation and success.
This year, eight TMHS students have qualified for the National DECA Conference in California. GoFundMe page has been set up to raise $5,000 to help defray the costs of the trip.
Here is the story from the GoFundMe page:

Tewksbury Memorial High School DECA will be sending 8 members of its chapter to Anaheim, California in April! The trip is very expensive and will cost $1,200 for each member to attend. Our members are traveling to Anaheim to compete against the brightest young business minds from all 50 states, Canada, and China in their respective events. The generous donations to our trip will help to alleviate the costs of airfare, hotels, registration fees, and more. Your help goes a long way in ensuring the trip is accessible for all of our dedicated members to attend.
The Tewksbury Memorial High School DECA chapter has worked extremely hard to reach this point. Heavily involved in community service, Tewksbury DECA raised over $12,000 for the Meghan McCarthy Research Fund through its annual fashion show. Tewksbury DECA has volunteered their efforts to support local businesses through the annual Taste of Tewksbury held at the Tewksbury Country Club and have provided help in organizing local 5K road races. At the district and state conferences, its members have won awards and qualified for higher level competition in areas including Business Administration, Buying and Merchandising, and Finance. All members traveling to California have devoted countless hours to improving themselves and the community around them.
