Curry College Inducts Tewksbury Resident Into Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society

MILTON , MA -- Curry College is proud to announce that Alexandra Callanan of Tewksbury has been inducted into Lambda Pi Eta, the official communication honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). Alexandra was one of 20 students inducted during a ceremony on the Curry College campus on March 29.

Since 1988, Lambda Pi Eta (LPH) has been a highly selective honor society for students who have declared an interest in the field of communication and who have achieved a high level of academic excellence. LPH has more than 450 active chapters at four-year colleges and universities nationwide, and is a member of the National Communication Association (NCA) and the Association of College Honor Societies(ACHS).

In order to qualify for Lambda Pi Eta at Curry College, a student must earn a minimum of 60 credits, with at least 15 graded credits with a minimum 3.5 GPA in communication courses, as well as a minimum 3.4 GPA overall. Students must also exhibit a commitment to the field of Communication.

About Curry College
Founded in 1879, Curry College is a private, four-year, liberal arts-based institution located on 131 acres in Milton, Mass. Curry extends its educational programs to a continuing education branch campus in Plymouth, Mass. Curry offers 26 undergraduate majors, as well as graduate degrees in business, education, criminal justice, and nursing, with a combined enrollment of over 3,700 students. The student body consists of approximately 2,000 traditional undergraduate students, 1,400 continuing education students, and 300 graduate students. Approximately 1,575 of its students reside on the Curry campus. The largest majors are business management, communication, nursing, criminal justice, and education. The College offers a wide array of extra-curricular activities ranging from 14 NCAA Division III athletic teams to an outstanding theatre program.
