Thirty-one animal companions received blessings on Sunday, October 15th, in a special community outreach event offered by Tewksbury Congregational Church.  The 30-minute Blessing of the Animals included a brief introduction, a testimonial, a cheerful song (to which many of the dogs howled), and an individual blessing for each pet.  All in all, 19 dogs, 8 cats, 1 ferret and 3 stuffed animals received blessings and were sent home with special treats.

This first annual event was a great success in the eyes of TCC’s Board of Deacons, who coordinated the service with Reverend Norman Bendroth.
