The victim, a 63-year-old woman, was taken by Medflight to a Boston area hospital after sustaining what was described as a significant head trauma.
According to Tewksbury Police, the accident took place around 4 p.m. on Marshall Street. The victim was alone, driving a 2014 Chevy SUV, when she apparently lost control of the vehicle, it left and the road and struck a utility pole, snapping it in two.
