Former Tewksbury Man Killed In Head-On Collision

 A 53-year-old New Hampshire man was killed Sunday night, the victim of a head-on collision on Dracut Road in Hudson, NH.
According to a report on NewHampshire.com, the accident took place around 8:30 p.m. Thomas Scott Spillane, of Hudson, was killed when the 2012 Toyota Corolla he was driving, suddenly crossed the center yellow line and collided with a 2003 Saturn, driven by 19-year-old Jesse Pickett of Merrimack, NH.
Spillane grew up in South Tewksbury and was a 1983 graduate of Shawsheen Tech. He was employed as a vice president at Boston Main Electrical Corp.
Spillane was pronounced dead at the scene. Pickett was critically injured and was transported by Med-flight to the trauma center at Mass. General Hospital in Boston.
A passenger in the Saturn escaped the crash unharmed.
As a result of the crash and subsequent investigation, Dracut Road was shut down for several hours.
