SilverTones Valentines Big Band Dance

The twenty-piece professional all-volunteer Swing Band, the Tewksbury SilverTones, will present it’s Feb. “3rd Friday”Valentine dance on Feb. 16 from 7-10 pm at The Tewksbury Senior Center 175 Chandler St. It will be the group’s 190th performance since its inception by the late Tom MacPherson in 2001. The vocalist B.B. Braxten, retired 35 Year director of the Sweet Adeline’s , will again sing such memorable and varied tunes for listening and dancing as : “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” to jazzy “720 In the Books”. Jim Sutton, drummer for “the Perfect Match Trio”, and first tenor/clarinetist Mike Petrishen also do popular vocals. Doors open at 6:30.$10 admission. Bring along your favorite munchies and beverages. Free ice, cake, coffee, doorprize is a ticket for 2 (or 2 admissions for one!) to any future SilverTones Dance. There is a 50/50 raffle and as a special treat, anyone wearing RED will have a chance to win $5 scratch tickets! 
Come join the fun. Celebrate with your Valentine, or meet one! Every dance ends with a grand circle and “God Bless America” sing-along.
