The view in Tewksbury from the Tewksbury Police

For the third time in 10 days, a Nor'Easter with blizzard conditions pounded the Merrimack Valley.
More than a foot of snow blanked the area again, though this one did not bring the devastating power outages as last week's storm did.
Still, the cleanup will take quite a while and, as such, schools throughout the region have already announced plans to close on Wednesday.
Dracut Superintendent Steven Stone included this little nugget of info in his cancellation announcement --  as a result of all the snow days, the last day of school in Dracut will now be June 29.
Days off always come with a price.

The Forecast

Flurries are still coming down and will continue into the early morning hours.
However, the storm is, for all intents and purposes, over.
Depending on where you are in the Merrimack Valley, snowfall totals vary from 15 inches all the way up to 19 inches.
However, this snow was considerably more light and fluffy in the Merrimack Valley Region than last week's storm. As a result, power outages have been minimal.

Power Outages

As of 9 p.m., there are still more than 183,000 people without power in Massachusetts.
The good news is just seven customers in Dracut and just seven in Tewksbury are without power.

The Latest From Public Safety Officials

From The Tewksbury DPW
Branch Up Date
DPW continues to clean up the Town from falling limbs and snow removal. Fallen trees and limbs that were on private property are NOT the Town’s responsibility and will not be picked up if dragged to the street. Residents who have debris from falling branches should keep them in their yard and dispose of them when the town has yard waste pick-up in the Spring. Branch pickup is scheduled for: April 23 - May 25, 2018. We will not have a special pickup for any falling debris. Due to the amount of fallen debris sidewalks cannot be plowed at this time and will be address after the next snow storm on Tuesday.
