Tewksbury Officials Warn Residents Of Impending Storm

 (Editor's note: On Tuesday, the Tewksbury Police issues the following Code Red alert in anticipation of a winter storm expected to hit the Merrimack Valley on Wednesday.)

It is likely that Tewksbury will be impacted by a significant storm beginning Wednesday morning into Thursday morning with the potential for significant snowfall. Forecasters are calling for 8+ inches of snowfall and wind gusts of up to 30 to 40 mph. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Middlesex County. 

Tewksbury Police Department recommends that all residents prepare emergency storm kits containing such items as:
 Water
 Non-perishable food
 Prescription medications
 Flashlight
 Batteries 
 Battery-powered radio
 Blankets and Warm Clothing

In the event that you do lose power, please report the outage to National Grid by calling 1-800-465-1212 or go to . Residents are reminded to stay clear of any downed power lines and report all emergencies to nine one one.
