Annual TEF Spelling Bee C-R-O-W-N-S New Champions (Photos, Videos)

The competition was intense at the 5th Annual TEF Townwide Spelling Bee.

The top spellers in the Tewksbury Public Schools for grades 4-7, gathered earlier this month at Tewksbury Memorial High School for the 5th Annual Townwide Spelling Bee.

The event was sponsored by the Tewksbury Education Foundation and the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Tewksbury town librarian Noelle Boc moderated the Spelling Bee. The judges were Town Manager Richard Montuori, Assistant Superintendent Brenda Theriault-Regan, Chief of Police Timothy Sheehan, and Fire Chief Michael Hazel. TMHS student judges were Jasmine Won and Sabtari Sabir.

The event took place in the Christine McGrath Auditorium at the Tewksbury Memorial High School on Monday and Tuesday night, June 11-12.

Seventh Grade winners - First Place Ava Paquette (right), Second Place Nevzat Kirar (left), Third Place Olivia Millspaugh (middle)
