Sep 10, 2018 07:16AM ● By Bill Gilman
Tewksbury will mark the 17th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania with a Candlelight Vigil, Tuesday night at the town's 9/11 Memorial.
The event will begin at 7 p.m.
Two Tewksbury residents, Peter Gay and Peter Hashem, were killed on Sept. 11, 2001, when the plane they were on was hijacked and flown into one of the towers of the Word Trace Center.
The ceremony Tuesday will feature Tewksbury Police  and Fire Dept, personnel, the Tewksbury High Marching Band, Tewksbury Boy Scouts Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts and members of the Tewksbury VFW, as well as singers Heather Ware and Connor Mangan.
Speakers will include Larissa Gay, daughter of Peter Gay, as well as Robert Fowler and Richard Cuoco of the Tewksbury 9/11 Memorial Board of Directors.
Below is the complete program for the Candlelight Vigil.
