#1) VETERANS DAY HOURS: The Tewksbury Public Library will be CLOSED on Sunday, November 11 and Monday, November 12 in observance of Veterans Day. The Library will be open regular hours on Tuesday, November 13, 10am to 9pm.
#2) LOTTERY RAFFLE! The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is raffling off $1,000 in Massachusetts scratch tickets. Raffle tickets cost $10 each or 3 for $25 and can be purchased at the Front Desk. Only 400 tickets will be sold. Winner will receive $1,000 in scratch tickets. Three runners up will each win $10 in scratch tickets. Drawing will be held on December 28. Proceeds to benefit programs at the Tewksbury Public Library.
#3) WINE GLASSES FOR SALE! The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is selling “Entering Tewksbury” etched stemless wine glasses. They make a great gift for teachers, coaches, and friends! The glasses cost $10 each and can be reserved at the front desk or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. There’s a limited supply, so reserve yours now!
#4) 50/50 RAFFLE! The Tewksbury Public Library’s Community Garden is holding a 50/50 Raffle. 50% of the proceeds will go to one winner. 50% will go to the Community Garden, which supports the Tewksbury Community Pantry. Raffle tickets cost $5 each or 3 for $10 and can be purchased at the Front Desk. Drawing will be held on December 17. Winner need not be present. Raffle sponsored by the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library.
#5) LOCAL HISTORY HELPERS: Curious what Tewksbury was like 25, 50, 100, 200, or nearly 300 years ago? Want to learn more about the town’s fascinating history? The Tewksbury Historical Society holds drop-in hours from 1pm to 5pm on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in the library’s Local History Room. The next drop-in hours are this coming Tuesday, November 13. The public is encouraged to drop in, chat with members, and get their Tewksbury history questions answered.
