Tewksbury PD Nabs Three For Drug Distribution

 On December 17, 2018 the Tewksbury Police Department arrested Diquane Settles, 23, of 67 Loring Street, Lowell for distribution of a Class B substance, cocaine.  Also arrested was Laura Jean Pietrantoni, 43, homeless for possession of a Class B substance, cocaine and Joanne Mackenzie, 43, homeless for possession of a Class A substance, fentanyl; Mackenzie also had two outstanding warrants for assault with a dangerous weapon and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

Detectives conducted an investigation into drug distribution at the Motel 6.  With cooperation from the Motel 6 management, Detectives were able to identify Mackenzie and Pietrantoni as occupants of the Motel.  After several hours of surveillance, Detectives observed a drug transaction at Cumberland Farms between Pietrantoni and Diquane.  After conducting a motor vehicle stop on Diquane, both he and Pietrantoni were arrested.  Moments later, Mackenzie arrived back at the Motel 6 and was also placed into custody for possession of fentanyl and outstanding warrants.    

All are due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on December 18, 2018
