For the first time in 40 years, the town of Tewksbury has an entirely new legislative delegation on Beacon Hill.
Freshman state representatives David Robertson (D-19th Middlesex) and Tram Nguyen (D-18th Essex) were sworn into office Wednesday, along with freshman (sort of) state Sen. Barry Finegold (D-2nd Essex-Middlesex).
In terms of seniority, Finegold is technically a rookie, although he had previously served two terms in office (2011-2015) before an unsuccessful run for State Treasurer.
Robertson, of Tewksbury, succeeds his former boss, the late Jim Miceli, who passed away in April, having represented Tewksbury and Wilmington for nearly four decades.
Nguyen pulled off one of the big upsets of 2018, when she defeated three-term Republican incumbent Jim Lyons.
Meanwhile, several hundred miles to the south, Congressman Seth Moulton, D-6th MA, began his third term in Washington.
A look at the social media postings of the legislators gives a peek into how they spent their day.
