Missing Person Emily Medina (24 Y.O.A.)
Tewksbury Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing endangered female from our community. Emily Medina, 24, was last seen by staff members at the Tewksbury State Hospital at 3:00 pm today. Ms. Medina is hearing impaired, non-verbal, and communicates through the use of a tablet. She currently resides at the Tewksbury State Hospital and was last seen wearing a green jacket with a fur hood, black leggings, and sneakers. An extensive search is ongoing with the assistance of the NEMLEC K-9 Unit and all available Tewksbury Officers. All the area police departments have been notified and area hospitals have been checked and no information as to her whereabouts has surfaced. Ms. Medina has family in the New Bedford, Ma area but they have had no contact with her since she went missing. New Bedford Police Department as well as the MA State Police have also been advised. Continuous attempts to locate her via her cell phone have proven to be fruitless as the phone has been turned off (with no outgoing calls) since she left the State Hospital grounds at 3 pm. Any information as to Mr. Medina’s whereabouts would be greatly appreciated and should be reported directly to the Tewksbury Police Department. Attached is a recent photograph of Ms. Medina.
