 Division 1 Girls

The Methuen/Tewksbury Red Rangers capped another sensational regular season with a win in the Newburyport Bank Classic, finishing the season at 18-1-1.
That record proved good enough for the No. 3 seed in the Division 1 State Tournament. The only teams aboved the Red Rangers in the 27-team field at top-seed Austin Prep (20-0-0) and No. 2 Duxbury (19-0-1).
Methuen-Tewksbury will open play in the tournament later this week against either No. 14 Lincoln-Sudbury or No. 19 Westford Academy, who meet Wednesday. The date and time of the Red Rangers first game has not yet been announced.

Division 2 North Boys

Tewksbury High has grabbed the 7th seed among 17 teams in the D2 North Sectional.
The Redmen (13-4-3) open play Tuesday night (Feb. 26) against No. 10 Lynnfield (11-5-1) in a game to be played at the Chelmsford Forum at 7 p.m.
With a win, Tewksbury would advance to the quarterfinals against either No. 2 Lincoln-Sudbury (16-2-2) or No. 15 Lowell Catholic (9-5-4).
