The Cudia home at 62 Martha Ave., Tewksbury, was damaged by fire Tuesday evening.
A GoGundMe pagehas been set up to assist a Tewksbury couple who lost everything when their home was gutted by fire, Tuesday evening.
David and Maria Cudia were home, along with two of their adult children, when fire broke out, just after 6 p.m., in their residence at 62 Martha Ave.
Tewksbury firefighters responded to the scene quickly but the fast-moving did heavy damage before it could be brought under control.
In addition to the damage to the house, one of the adult children in the family sustained a hand injury.
The fire is believed to have started in the lower level of the home, though the specific cause remains under investigation.
According to town records, the home is assessed at $327,100. The Cudia family has owned the property since 1988.
The GoFundMe Page was set up by the Cudia's daughter-in-law, Nicole Cudia. A goal of $5,000 was set, but as of Friday evening, just $2,690 had been raised. In her request for help, Nicole Cudia said her in-laws lost everything.
