Tewksbury’s Got Channels!
Tewksbury now has 3 separate Cable Access channels, each with its own specific focus.
The Public Channel (Comcast 8*, Verizon 32) will feature content of interest and importance to the Tewksbury community. Content will be created by Tewksbury residents, the Telemedia Department and other local Cable Access stations. Here you will find recordings of community events, concerts, presentations, lectures, talk shows and even a cooking show! In addition, you can tune in and watch classic movies and tv shows currently in public domain.
The Education Channel (Comcast 22, Verizon 34) will air content related to Tewksbury Public Schools. Sporting events, School Committee Meetings, school events and student produced media will make up the bulk of programming.
The Government Channel (Comcast 99, Verizon 33) will be your go to place for local government meetings. The Telemedia Department currently films and broadcasts every meeting for the following boards, committees and commissions: Board of Selectmen, Planning Board, Zoning Board, Board of Health and Conservation Commission. In addition to meetings you can also catch candidate forums, local election coverage, talk shows, replays of the Massachusetts House of Representatives general sessions and much more.
*Comcast channel 8 will no longer air Municipal Meetings. Please tune in to Comcast channel 99 for all live and replayed Municipal Meetings.
