Haverhill Man Arrested, Charged With 35 Vehicle Break-ins In Tewksbury

On June 17, 2019 the Tewksbury Police Department arrested Keegan MaCrae, 23, of 151 Merrill Ave., Haverhill for 35 counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle with the intent to commit a misdemeanor, 20 counts of larceny under $1200, 3 counts of attempt to commit a crime to wit breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, 5 counts of receiving stolen property under $1200, possession of a dangerous weapon (double edged machete) and possession of a class e substance (gabapentin).
The Town of Tewksbury experienced numerous car breaks over the last several weeks. Detectives were able to develop a suspect based on the areas that were being targeted as well as the use of surveillance footage. Once MaCrae was a person of interest, Detectives were able to interact with him and locate some of the property stolen from the breaks in his vehicle. He was subsequently placed under arrest.
The breaks that were solved were located at the following streets; Summer St., Heritage Dr., Kent St., Marie St., Pleasant St., Dewey St, Helvetia St., Pillsbury Ave., and Debra Dr.
MaCrae was arraigned Tuesday at Lowell District Court.
