Farmers Market

TEWKSBURY, MA – The Tewksbury Community Market, located on the front lawn of the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street), is open this Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm.

This week’s featured vendors include Jones Farm, Dargoonian Farm (season debut), Tewksbury Honey, Sweet Lydia's, Fudge ‘N Stuff (season debut), Tewksbury Greenery & Florist (season debut), Scents Delivered, and Juicebox Diva (season debut), plus the Tewksbury Public Library Community Garden. The Market will continue to grow in vendors as the season moves on.

The Kona Ice Truck will be on site selling deliciously flavored Hawaiian shaved ice.

Cassandra Lee & The Acoustic Project will be performing from 5pm to 7pm on the library's patio, right next to the market. Bring your own chair or blanket. (A limited supply of chairs will be available.) Their five-piece design makes for a gorgeous sound, saturated with rich vocal harmonies over warm acoustic guitar, violin, and piano.

Author and cooking instructor Anna Tourkakis will speak in the library’s Meeting Room at 7pm about eating healthy while still enjoying food. Food affects our present and future health. Healthy eating is important at any age as each phase of life builds on our current health. Get started preparing now for the future by choosing the right kinds of foods and creating healthy habits. The presentation highlights the foods to choose and the five essential guidelines you need for a healthier diet. Led by Anna Tourkakis, NRDT, MPA/H, nutritional consultant and founder of Eating From Within Nutrition. She is the author of Delicious Simplicity: Recipes for Today’s Busy Life, and hosts her own cooking show. Tourkakis is a longtime cooking demonstrator for Whole Foods and has developed recipes for many companies, including Welch's Food.

Miss Heather, of the library’s Children’s Room, will hold a Pajamarama Storytime for little ones at 7pm in the library’s Storytime Room.

Learn about the Tewksbury-based Power of Flowers Project at the market’s Community Table this week.

The Market will be open on Tuesdays through the end of September.
