A Dracut man is facing multiple charges after allegedly attacking a woman with a razor outside a Tewksbury coffee shop last week.
Adam Giallanella, 31, was arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court, charged with intimidating a witness, assault and battery of a family or household member and three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The assault allegedly took place around 4:40 p.m. Friday, inside a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer parked in the lot outside a Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street in Tewksbury.
According to a police report, an argument between Giallanella and a female escalated to violence and Giallanella allegedly held a razor blade against the victim's neck. When the suspect heard the sirens of the approaching police cruisers, he fled the scene on foot, according to the report.
The Good Samaritan that had witnessed the assault and called the police told investigators that Giallanella had threatened him, also, when he tried to step in on behalf of the victim.
Giallanella was found by officers within a few minutes and placed under arrest.

The victim told investigators that she had known the suspect for several years and had dated him at one point. She also said Giallanella had accused her of stealing money from him, leading to the argument and the alleged assault.
After his arraignment, Giallanella was released on $2,000 cash bail. He will be back in court Aug. 5 for pre-trial conferencing.
