Kona Ice Truck, Live Music & Free Bags at Community Market This Week

MA – The Tewksbury Community Market, located on the front lawn of the Tewksbury
Public Library (300 Chandler Street), is open this Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from
4pm to 7pm.
This week’s featured vendors include Jones Farm, Dargoonian Farm, Tewksbury Honey, Sweet Lydia's, Fudge ‘N Stuff, Tewksbury Greenery & Florist, KC Styles, Peacock Chalk, NYR Organics, Scents Delivered, and Usborne Books, plus the Tewksbury Public Library Community Garden. The Market will continue to grow in vendors as the season moves on.
The Kona Ice Truck will be on site selling deliciously flavored Hawaiian shaved ice.
The first 60 customers (one per family) who stop by the library’s table will receive a free reusable tote bag courtesy of Tewksbury’s Salem Five.
Folk singer Prateek Poddar will perform from 5pm to 7pm on the library’s patio, next to the Community Market. Poddar has been nominated for Singer-Songwriter of the Year at both the New England Music Award and the Boston Music Awards.
Bestselling cookbook author Terry Walters (“Clean Food,” “Clean Start” and “Eat Clean, Live Well”) will hold a presentation on fermentation basics at 7pm inside the library’s Meeting Room. Known to improve taste, increase nutrients and support a strong immune system, fermentation has been used for centuries as a sustainable and delicious way to preserve the harvest and sustain good health. Free samples. Walters is a James Beard Foundation Award finalist and recipient of the Nautilus Gold and Silver Book Awards. Book signing & selling after the event for those interested.
