Raymond E. Piretti, Jr.
Raymond E. Piretti, Jr., age 81, of Tewksbury, formerly a long-time resident of Wilmington and Medford, passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2019, at the Lowell General Hospital Saints Campus.
Ray was born on November 13, 1937, in East Boston, MA; he was the cherished only son to the late Raymond Sr. and Elizabeth Piretti. Ray grew up in Medford, MA and was a graduate of Medford High School.
In the early 1960’s, Ray and his wife Catherine moved to Wilmington where they raised three wonderful daughters; Francine, Christine and Raylene. Ray loved his family unconditionally; he was devoted to his daughters and adored his grandchildren Dakota, Mason, and Madisyn.
Ray was an entrepreneur when it came to business; he tried his hand at several different ventures but for the most part he was an auto salesman for most of his career. Ray’s outgoing personality and friendliness made him quite successful in whatever he was doing.
Ray was known to have a great sense of humor and was a typical jokester; he never took life too seriously and enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends. He was a great cook and loved having people around his table whether it was a holiday or a Sunday dinner.
Ray will be remembered as a “great guy” who lived life to the fullest; he treasured the time spent with family and friends. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Ray was the devoted father of Francine (Piretti) Tirrell & her husband Bill and Christine “Kiffy” Boudreau & her husband Ernie all of Tewksbury and Raylene Piretti & her companion Brian Feeley of Lowell. Loving “Gampa” of Mason, Madisyn and the late Dakota Catherine Boudreau, former husband and friend of the late Catherine Piretti. Cherished son of the late Raymond E. Sr. and Elizabeth G. (Fenton) Piretti, dear brother of the late Rose Piretti and Betty Ann Holland, brother-in-law of Linda & Eddie Helein of Burlington. Ray is also survived by his nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Saturday, August 31st for Visitation from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon immediately followed by a Service at 12:00 noon.
