TPD Drug Investigation Leads to Four Arrests For Fentanyl Trafficking
On October 16, 2019 the Tewksbury Police Department arrested the following individuals subsequent to a drug investigation:
- Jan Ortiz, 32, of 169 Lawrence St., Apt. 1, Lawrence for trafficking fentanyl, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, conspiracy to violate the drug laws and 2 warrants for failing to attend jury duty.
- Thomas Murphy, Jr., 35, of 169 Lawrence St., Apt 1R, Lawrence for trafficking fentanyl, carrying a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles), and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
- Mark Cremin, 31, of 269 Main St., Apt. 3, Stoneham for possession of crack cocaine, possession of Hydroxyzine Pomate, and conspiracy to violate the drug laws.
- Tiffany Carney, 25, of 18 Upham St., Lowell for possession of crack cocaine, possession of Hydroxyzine Pomate, conspiracy to violate the drug laws and for having 2 warrants for possession of a class a substance, fentanyl.
Detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of the Motel 6 when they observed a drug transaction which led to the arrest of the aforementioned individuals. A search warrant was subsequently executed which resulted in the recovery of additional narcotics.
All of these individuals were due to be arraigned at Lowell District Court on October 17, 2019.
