Other: When I was younger, I had seen a series of movies named Back to the Future.  One aspect and joke of the second movie was that the Cubs were going to win the World Series in 2015 after Marty McFly goes to the future and sees the holographic announcement.  As a huge fan of the series, I wanted that to happen for both the Cubs and the movie.  That year, I followed the team the whole season up to where they lost in the NLCS.  But that didn’t stop my love for the team.  As the next season began I found myself still following the team who won the World Series the succeeding year.  After their victory, my family and I flew to Chicago to see them raise their historic banner.  Thanks to Back to the Future, my family and I are now lifelong Cubs fans (and of course, are still big Red Sox fans)!

Nominating faculty member, Mr. Early states that Mike took the lead in fundraising for the Italy trip by setting up a dine out for cause at the Ninety Nine Restaurant and also fundraisers at Main Street Pizza and a local butcher shop.  At the Applefest fair Mike was not just helping the soccer boosters, he was also helping the Class of 2020 and JCL.  Mike demonstrates great leadership on the soccer team.  The trip to Italy and Canada will be his 4th and 5th school trip.  He has also tutored students in Spanish during his skills and strategies class in his sophomore year.

Nominating faculty member, Ms. Dudley states that Michael is someone you can count on.  This past month at Applefest fair and with fundraising for the Italy trip, he has been instrumental.  He doesn’t just put in a couple of hours and goes home.  He really participates and he is a role model for others.
