Tewksbury Library Launches 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group

TEWKSBURY, MA -- Are you 50 or over and looking for a new job or change in career?  Did you know that 85% of all jobs are found through networking?

Attend the new 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group at the Tewksbury Public Library. Funded by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, managed by Massachusetts Councils on Aging, and supported by AARP, the 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group is designed to support and assist people in the 50+ demographic who are looking for job search guidance, support materials and strategies for a new career direction or an encore career.

This new group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, from 1pm to 3pm. Upcoming meeting dates include January 8; January 22; February 12; February 26; March 11; and March 25. Each biweekly meeting is facilitated by experienced career coach Debbi Hope and focuses on a different aspect of the job search. These free meetings include a presentation and hands-on workshop on relevant topics, guest speakers, access to hiring managers, ample opportunity to network, and 1-1 coaching guidance. Participating on a regular basis will give job seekers the many tools and strategies needed for a successful job search, but you can start any time!

First-time attendees are encouraged to register in advance online at  Drop-ins, however, are welcome. Any job seeker 50 and over, regardless of where they live in the state, is encouraged to attend.

The Tewksbury Public Library is located at 300 Chandler Street, on the corner of Main Street (Route 38). The group meets in the first-floor Meeting Room, which is accessible to all.
