COVID-19: First Tewksbury Resident Tests Positive For Coronavirus

In a statement released Thursday, the Town of Tewksbury has confirmed its first positive case of COVID-19.
According to the statement, the Health Department will be in regular contact with the individual to monitor their status and condition and the patient is currently under medical supervision.
According to town officials, the risk of contracting the Coronavirus in the Town of Tewksbury remains low.
Due to privacy laws, no other information about the individual’s identity or location was released by the town. It was also not revealed how the patient may have contracted the disease.
According to published reports, two Lowell residents and one Andover resident have also tested positive for the Cononavirus this week.
As of Thursday at 5 p.m., there have been:
245,670 confirmed cases and 10,049 deaths globally.
13,229 cases and 195 deaths in the USA.
328 cases with no deaths, thus far, in Massachusetts.
