Tewksbury Votes: Incumbents Cruise To Victory In Quiet Municipal Election

Delayed two months by the Covid-19 pandemic and with just one contested race on the ballot, Tewksbury's 2020 Municipal Election was a quiet affair, with just 1,058 ballots cast, for a turnout of 4.6 percent.
Incumbent Keith Sullivan earned a second term on the School Committee, defeating challenger Sara Steele, 581-455.
In uncontested races:
  • Jay Kelly won a second 3-year term on the Board of Selectmen.
  • Eric Ryder won a 5-year term on the Planning Board.
  • Charles Roux won a another 3-year term on the Board of Health
  • Incumbents Lorraine Carriere and Patrick Joyce won 3-year terms on the Library Board of Trustees.
  • Robert Demers won a 5-year term on the Housing Authority.
  • Former Selectman Todd Johnson won a 3-year term as Town Moderator.
  • Incumbent Scott Wilson won a 3-year term on the School Committee. Wilson had been serving out the remainder of Dennis Francis' term, after Francis resigned.
