Virtual Scavenger Hunt to Support the Community
LOWELL - On Monday, July
6, 2020, the Northeast Independent Living Program (NILP) will launch “Quest for
Connections,” a summer-long Virtual Scavenger Hunt to support local businesses
and nonprofits who, in recent months, have been hit hard by COVID-19.
As we work together to rebuild and strengthen our communities, NILP is organizing this interactive event to “help increase engagements, donations, curbside pickups and online purchases in our local community, while also raising funds to support people with disabilities in the Greater Merrimack Valley,” explains NILP Special Events Coordinator, Sheila Hegarty.
Several local businesses and organizations have already signed on as participating sponsors, including Blue Bumble Creative, Merrimack Repertory Theatre, Heritage Farm Ice Cream and Restaurant, Outback Steakhouse, El Potro Mexican Bar and Grill and Little Delights Bakery.
Some of the Scavenger Hunt tasks will direct players to engage with and/or support the participating sponsors, while other tasks will include a variety of family-friendly activities.
How it works: Complete a series of tasks on a mobile game app by uploading a photo, video or answering a question and earn points. Compete to earn the most points each week and win a prize. At the end of the Quest, the person with the most points will win a Grand Prize, including gift cards and other items donated by participating sponsors!
“Quest for Connections” is fun for all ages. Registration is $25 per person. Sign up at www.nilp.org/quest.
There are multiple ways to become a participating sponsor such as traditional sponsorships, gift card donations or helping recruit players. Please contact Sheila Hegarty at email@example.com if you would like to get involved!
