Decision 2021: Ballot Is Finalized For Tewksbury Municipal ElectionFeb 23, 2021 09:01AM ● By Bill Gilman
The nomination period has officially closed and the ballot is set for the Tewksbury Municipal Election on April 10.
There will be contested races for the School Committee and Board of Selectmen, with multiple candidates and open seats in each race. On the other hand, incumbents on the Planning Board, Housing Authority and Board of Health will cruise to new terms with no opposition.
For the Board of Selectmen, incumbent Mark Kratman is seeking a third term and will be challenged by former Selectman Todd Johnson, former Board of Health member George Ferdinand, Collin McNaught, and James Mackey. Incumbent Brian Dick chose not to seek re-election.
For School Committee, incumbent James Cutelis seeks another 3-year term. He will be challenged by Bridget Garabedian, Nicholas Parsons and Deborah Wall. Incumbent Scott Wilson, who was selected to fill out the remainder of the term of Dennis Francis (after Francis resigned) chose not to run for a full term.
Newcomer Cheryl Bartolone will win an uncontested race for a seat on the Shawsheen Tech Regional School Committee. She will succeed Lisa Gallagher, who chose not to seek another term.

(I) Raymond Barry has had his nomination papers certified.
Housing Authority (1 Seat, 5-year term)
(I) Marc DiFruscia has taken out nomination papers
Shawsheen Regional Technical High School Committee (1 Seat, 3-year term)
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
