The Tewksbury SilverTones Big Band will perform its “Happy Holiday Concert” for dancing and listening on its usual 3rd Friday, Dec. 15, from 7-10 pm at the Senior Center.
The 20 professional volunteer musicians will present many lively Christmas and Seasonal tunes, along with the more familiar Big Band tunes, featuring B.B. Braxten, female vocalist , along with a few sung by drummer Jim Sutton and sax man Mike Petrishen.
For $10 per person, guests will enjoy the new dance floor, cake, coffee or tea, ice and a chance to win scratch tickets, if you are wearing red AND green for the festive occasion. Bring along your favorite beverages and snacks, and join in the fun of foxtrots, waltzes, jitterbugs, hiphop, line dances, Latins and even a few polkas.
The band will be decked out in its holiday finery of silver vests and red ties. It always concludes with a grand circle of “God Bless America” at 10 pm. Couples and singles are welcome. Reserve tables of 8-10 by calling the Senior Center at 978-640-4480. The Tewksbury Senior Center is fully handicapped accessible, has well-lighted parking and a beautiful new dance floor.
