Tewksbury's 10th Annual Zero Waste Day

Support local non-profits at this drive thru donating and recycling event

All are welcome to attend Tewksbury's 10th Annual Zero Waste Day event, scheduled for Saturday, September 22nd, from 9am to 1pm in the Wynn Middle School parking lot.

This is a DRIVE THRU DONATING AND RECYCLING event featuring more than a dozen local non-profit organizations who will graciously accept your gently used items and recyclables. Please do not donate items that are in disrepair (broken, stains, ripped) as it poses quite a large disposal cost to the non-profit organizations. If you would not share it with a friend, do not donate it at Zero Waste Day.

DONATE clothing, small furniture, baby gear, household goods, decorative items, bikes, building supplies, books, pet supplies

RECYCLE off-rim tires, batteries of all kinds, paper, cell phones, and (for a nominal fee, CASH ONLY) electronics
Hazardous waste WILL NOT be collected at ZWD.  (Contact Minuteman Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center in Lexington).

For detailed information, including a complete listing of participating non-profits and a video of a past ZWD event, please visit our website at

And, for Facebook updates, be sure to LIKE Zero Waste Day, Tewksbury to keep updated on other local opportunities to donate and recycle.

Please note that you DO NOT need to be a resident of Tewksbury in order to participate. All are welcome!

Zero Waste Day is a rain or shine event and is co-sponsored by the Tewksbury Recycling Committee and Tewksbury Congregational Church.
